Just like their dads, every boy would love to drive a tank.
Maybe pretend you’re on the battlefield saving lives and finding roadside bombs to dig up and destroy. Though it might be better just to engage in a much healthier activity like playing.
In this case not with a replica gun but with one of the best retro toys to come out of the seventies.
The name is Bigtrak. And the first thing you’ll notice that like most tanks it is solid and well-built. OK, it also looks pretty old-fashioned with a big, red on/off switch (which is good because you’ll know whether it’s on or off!) and what appears to be a calculator keypad on top.
Your grandad may also have played with almost the very same toy way back in the mists of time five decades ago so you’ll have something close to share with him which is very neat.
But how did the mad genius who invented this amazing machine know it would still be alive and rolling in the 21st century. Well, like some chocolate bars and skateboards, he obviously knew he was onto a winner.
And the reason why? Because you can play with it for hours without getting bored. Big Trak is basically a programmable tank that can be made to move in specific commands, like go forward four units, turn right, go forward 5 units, right again then fire its weapons.
